Spy Swap – The USA said that whole ten charged Russian spies held in the US would have been deported in exchange for 4 people imprisoned in Russia for alleged espionage activities. spy swap

The ten were detained in New York and some other US locations last week on suspicion of illegally gathering intelligence on conspiracy to commit money laundering as well as US nuclear weapons. on Thursday, New York court has declared that whole of the defendants were guilty to conspiracy. spy swap

Russian media reported that the 4 individuals included weapons specialist Igor Sutyagin. Sutyagin was arrested and convicted of spying for the USA in 1999. The US State Department said that the defendants would be immediately handed over to Russia after the two countries agreed on a spy swap deal.
